Before you install zMaxOneClick™ it is helpful to have a full scope of the install.  If you are installing on a single computer the scope of the install may be as simple as understanding the hardware and software requirements.  But if zMaxOneClick™ is to be installed on multiple computers in a network environment, then the scope of install will be more complex.

The Pre-Installation Survey provides that scope and allows you to prepare for the install. The scope of the Pre-Installation Survey process depends on the scope of the installation. You should choose the steps to complete depending on your scope. The steps can include all or some of the following:

• Determine on which computer(s) each zMaxOneClick™ is to be located.
• Determine that these computers have appropriate security and user rights.
• Review all these computers for compliance with the zMaxOneClick™ minimum hardware and software requirements.
• Determine and problems or deficiencies, if any, with compliance with hardware and software requirements.
• If there are any problems or deficiencies, develop a resolution plan.
• Explain the installation to the user(s).
• Discuss a tentative installation date.
