The Task Bar is an on-screen bar showing the currently running applications and open documents, as well as indicating system status. The taskbar provides rapid navigation between documents with relatively minimal screen clutter.

The default location for the taskbar is at the bottom of the screen and from left to right it contains by default the Start menu, Quick Launch bar, Taskbar buttons and Notification area (popularly called the system tray), but the user can move the Task Bar. You can easily identify the Task Bar by locating the Start button which is alway the first item always shown on the left side and the of the Task Bar.
